Discipleship Formation

We are happy to provide lively, hands on forms of formation for children from three years old through ninth grade at St. Therese Parish!

Our Sunday program, called “Little Lambs,” for ages three to five and “Children’s Church” for elementary school aged children are “drop in” programs, with no need to register.

Our offerings for students in first through ninth grade, called “GROW” and “Mission,” are two of the offerings that are available to you when you click on the button, below. We are happy to work in collaboration with the parishes of St. Isidore and St. Francis-St. Maximilian to provide families more options for formation than ever before.

Forming disciples is important to us.

We provide formation opportunities for people of all ages. Our goal is to help individuals learn more about Jesus and what participation in his Church means for them. If you are a parent of school-aged children, please know that YOU, as parents /guardians have the most important role in your child/ren’s formation, but we are here to support you in any way that we can. In order to make the best of faith formation, we reccomend that you do three things:

Without the Eucharist and a sense of God’s mercy and love., we can easily flounder. Attending Mass is one of the foundations of our faith. At Mass, we recieve the gift of the Eucharist, one of Jesus' ways of connecting with us in a deeply profound way, and hear God's Word with our brothers and sisters in the faith. In Reconciliation (confession) wSacrament of Reconciliation we see God’s love through his mercy and receive the grace necessary to overcome even the most dreadful challenges.

Prayer is an act of faith and is the basis of our relationship with God. Prayer does not have to be complex, it can be as simple as saying just one Our Father. By challenging your child/ren to pray every day it will help them to form into the kind of person that God is calling them to be, whatever that may be.

God has given you the great gift of family! Honest conversations about things that matter can go a long way in setting your child up for success in life. Ask questions, and share bible stories together. If you need help in having these conversations, rely on a bible like, The Catholic Children's Bible, or The Catholic Youth Bible from St. Mary's Press. Know that we are praying for you and your children as we make this journey together.
