Surely, many of you feel as I do: I love our church, enjoy being an integral part of it…participating in many activities that go on here, being actively involved in ministry, listening to the Word, seeing and passing on greetings to friends, on and on. However, it is important that we all remember that the primary purpose of our Catholic Faith is to Evangelize and pass it onto others.
We must keep in mind this quote from St. Francis; “We cannot keep ourselves shut up in parishes in our communities, when so many people are waiting for the Gospel…It’s not enough simply to open the door and welcome, but we must go out through that door to seek and meet the people.”
Lent will soon be upon us; let’s make it our goal to go out of our comfort zone, meet the people and pass on our beautiful faith to them.
