Lenten Giving Tree

The Lenten Giving Trees are once again in the gathering area of the Church from February 16 through
April 1. It is a tradition of supporting a charity through the practice of Almsgiving, along with prayer and
fasting. These trees symbolize our collective commitment to helping those in need, not just locally, but
internationally as well. Making this project a beautiful way to reflect on the true meaning of Lent and
Easter.
This year our focus will take us to Latin America where poor Catholic Churches are in dire need of
financial support that will allow them to service the people of God in that part of God’s creation.
PTPA (Parish Twinning Program of the Americas) is a Catholic, non-profit organization whose mission is
to live the Gospel by seeking, building and maintaining the formation, growth and development of
twinning relationships between Catholic parishes in the U.S. and Catholic parishes in Haiti and Latin
America.
“Twinning” with an U.S. Parish is what the organization is all about. One day we might be able to
connect and add to our “family.” However, for now, our donations are needed.
The St. Therese community has always supported our various programs, and we are truly grateful for
your generosity. We hope this charity will continue to benefit from your support and generosity!
Take one or more envelopes from a tree and return your donation to the office.
