The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Holy Day of Obligation. Our Masses will take place at 8:30 AM and 7 PM. This is a Catholic Solemnity celebrating Mary’s conception without sin. This Holy Day of Obligation occurs during Advent, the season of preparation for the birth of Our Lord, Jesus Christ; however, the Immaculate Conception refers to Mary’s conception in the womb of her mother, St. Anne, nine months before Mary’s Nativity, celebrated on September 8.
