From Storefront Beginnings to Lifelong Friendships

My dear Parish Family,

As we continue to celebrate the feast of the Resurrection, I would like to share some information with you.  Earlier this year, I was asked to be the Director of the Heritage Center in the Welcome Center of Madonna University located on our convent grounds in Livonia, MI. I’ve always loved the history of our Congregation.  I feel this role is a wonderful fit for my gifts and talents especially at this stage in my life.

In July, 2026 this new ministry will necessitate my moving to the central convent in Livonia.  Leaving the parish will not mean leaving the people, you my “family”. This parish has been my home since it was in the storefront. It has been a joy to serve the most vulnerable these years. What an inspiration to minister with so many self-giving individuals. Though the location changes, the treasured relationships in Christ remain.

It is will great joy that I can tell you that Sister Treiza, a member of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate will be shadowing me so that she may support the wonderful ministry to the Seniors and homebound of the parish.  Sister Treiza is excited about her new opportunity here at St. Therese. I know she will be inspired and energized by those who are so dedicated to the most vulnerable in this parish ministry.

May God continue to bless each and everyone of you who have enriched my years at St. Therese in a multitude of ways that I can neither think of or imagine.

God bless you, always grateful,

Sister Mary Andrew Budinski
