Yes, the school bells are ringing! You can hear, see, and feel the difference in so many ways: more meetings, homework, sports, dance practices, and other after-school activities. There’s school shopping to do, lunches to pack, and sniffles to deal with—not to mention your “usual” activities and chores.
Besides your frustration, you can begin to see that overwhelming feeling come over your children/grandchildren, too.
You might consider keeping a few meaningful prayers or bible verses that you can easily refer to on your refrigerator. Here are a couple from the Apostle Paul from his letters to the:
Philippians (4:13): He encourages them to keep their minds on what is important and worthy of praise. “I have the strength for everything through Him who empowers me.”
Thessalonians (5:16–18): Taken from the oldest book of the New Testament and still just as relevant today. “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing in all circumstances. Give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”
Perhaps you might challenge each member of your family to find and share a verse that is meaningful to them.
