The Felician Sisters of North America, rooted in the Franciscan tradition and inspired by Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home, are inviting Catholics everywhere to renew their commitment to caring for creation. Their Laudato Si’ initiative reminds us that protecting the environment is not simply an ecological issue, but a spiritual responsibility connected to our faith, our communities, and our care for the poor and vulnerable. Through prayer, education, and practical action, the Sisters encourage all people to embrace simple, meaningful ways to become better stewards of God’s creation.
As parishioners of St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, we are also called to reflect on how we care for our common home in our daily lives and as a faith community. In the coming weeks, our parish bulletin will feature a special 7-part “Fish Tales” series introducing key themes from Laudato Si’ and exploring practical, faith-filled ways we can live out this call to stewardship, gratitude, and care for creation together.
