I share this scripture verse with you today as an invitation, to a closer walk with the Lord through a Cursillo retreat weekend.
The reality of having a closer relationship with the Lord touched my heart when I made my Cursillo in May 1995. It took me from being an ordinary Catholic Christian, going through the motions, to having a deep personal relationship with God.
For the first time in my life, I truly understood the depth of God’s love for me who has become my rock to lean on during difficult times. Since then, I have always been led to share this gift with my brother and sisters in Christ that I worship with, when I visit other churches.
Cursillo is described as a short course in Christianity, an encounter with Christ & has been active in the Archdiocese of Detroit since 1962. Cursillo calls us to a better understanding of God’s love for us, gives us the tools to “Unleash the Gospel “and be witnesses of the Risen Christ.
