MEN WANTED!
All men of the parish are invited to this season’s first session of the ARMOR OF GOD MEN’S GROUP. Our motto says it all: “Being a Catholic Man in a Post-Christian Society”. And that’s what we are all about. We meet in order to mold and strengthen the Catholic men of the parish by reinforcing relationships with Jesus Christ and one another through Prayer, Formation, and Fraternity.
Our next meeting is from 7 to 8pm in the Divine Mercy Room here at St. Therese, or on Saturday Morning September 30th at 8am with adoration starting at 7am. No reservations necessary. No dues. No other obligations. Just show up. Future meetings will be held monthly on either Monday evenings or Saturday mornings.
One of the things at this meeting will be a brief video presentation by Fr. Mike Schmitz entitled Why be Catholic and Not Just Christian? Fr. Mike talks about what he considers the one main reason for being Catholic which no other Christian denomination can claim. This is a thought-provoking video of an important topic every Catholic should consider, and one which will probably come up in conversations with our children and non-Catholic friends from time-to-time. We will also have a discussion about it.
If you would like to grow in faith, learn new skills needed to be a Catholic man in today’s world, and meet other men with whom you can share your faith experiences, join us at the September 18 meeting.
