A “sea of blue” brings food and hope to those in need
In an extraordinary display of compassion, generosity, and teamwork, our Kids Coalition Against Hunger event surpassed all expectations! Thanks to the incredible support of our Family of Parishes and community, over $45,000 was raised — funding the assembly of an amazing 125,000 meals for those in need.
On November 8, more than 500 volunteers of all ages came together for a spirited and joy-filled meal-packing event. Families, parishioners, and community members worked side by side, sharing smiles, laughter, and a common purpose: to help fight hunger both near and far.
We offer our heartfelt gratitude to every donor and volunteer who made this remarkable effort possible. Your generosity and dedication have made a meaningful impact in countless lives.
This event beautifully embodies our shared call to live out the Gospel through service and aligns seamlessly with five of the seven themes of Catholic Social Teaching:
- Life and Dignity of the Human Person
- Call to Family, Community, and Participation
- Rights and Responsibilities
- Option for the Poor and Vulnerable
- Solidarity
Together, we have witnessed the power of faith in action — a shining reminder that no act of kindness is ever too small and that, united in Christ, we can help build a world where no one goes hungry.
Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ – John 7:38
