Let’s focus on the positive and find something upon which we can all agree: we must all take part in keeping our world a clean, safe, and beautiful place to live. How wonderful that our Lord has blessed us with this lovely planet we call Earth! It is our responsibility to pass it on to our children, grandchildren, and future generations in beautiful condition. We must initiate and actively participate in discussions on how we can partner with others to make this a reality. These discussions must include children; they are our future!
We see Earth Day on our calendars each year, but it’s much more than a day. We need to focus on it every day. Pope Francis reminds us, “Everything is connected, and as a family of nations, we must have a common concern: to see that the environment is cleaner, purer, and preserved. We must take care of nature so that it takes care of us.” Beginning May 12, Fish Tales will focus on ideas for us to discuss and evangelize what God sees as an opportunity to work together to improve our world.
