Adoration is a time to spent offering prayers and devotions in the Real Presence of our Lord Jesus — Christ in the Eucharist, the sacred host.
This eucharistic presence, through the transubstantiation of the bread and wine to the body and blood, is why many of the Catholic faithful frequent Adoration. This presence of Jesus in the Eucharist is with us at each Mass during Holy Communion. Grow in of Jesus, spend an hour in perpetual adoration, and celebrate your Catholic faith.
What are you supposed to do at Adoration?
Start your visit with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament with a greeting. Genuflect, get comfortable and be with Jesus.
You don’t have to do anything. The Catholic faith recognizes that the greatest gift God gives us is himself, and Adoration is another way for us to recognize that gift outside of receiving the Eucharist at Mass. So, don’t overthink it.
